Tech Lead at StickerApp
Build something fun. Lead something real. Join StickerApp as our new Tech Lead and help us create the world’s most playful sticker experience.
About us
StickerApp is the small company that made it big in the sticker world. What started in 2006 as a niche idea has grown into a thriving global platform with over 110 employees, including a 20-person strong Tech team, serving customers in more than one hundred countries. We help creators, brands, and everyday sticker lovers design and order high quality, custom stickers that feel personal, fun, and easy to make.
Our product is fully online, our team is proudly hands-on, and our ambition is to make every interaction, from designing your first sticker to unboxing your latest order, feel just right. We care deeply about the experience, and we believe craft, speed, and joy can go hand in hand.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a curious, experienced, and thoughtful Tech Lead to join our Customer Journey team, one of our core product teams working on the full user experience. In this role, you will take the lead on the technical side of our e-commerce platform while continuing to write code hands-on and collaborate closely with your teammates.
This is not just a leadership role, and it is not a spectator seat. You will be part of the action: building things, shaping the way we work, and helping us grow as a product and as a team.
What your days might look like
Your work will be focused on building and improving the parts of our platform that customers see and interact with every day, our storefront, sticker editors, content management system integrations, and shopping flow. You will lead architectural discussions, guide long-term technical decisions, and support your team in writing clean, scalable, maintainable code.
You will collaborate across disciplines, working closely with product, design, and fellow engineers. One moment you might be deep in TypeScript improving a rendering module, the next you are helping prioritize technology debt or pairing with a colleague to refine a feature. You are likely to get your hands dirty in Svelte components, Node application programming interfaces, and Docker configurations, all within the same week.
We move fast but we care about quality. We are not chasing trends, but we love good tools. We value focus and flow, but also coffee breaks and real-life conversations. You will have room to shape both your own role and the team around you.
Your background
You have the technical maturity and judgment that comes with experience. You are confident in modern frontend development, and you write clean, scalable code in TypeScript. You have a strong grasp of HTML and CSS, and you understand how to build fast, intuitive interfaces that customers enjoy using.
You have built or maintained applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, and ideally you have hands-on experience with Svelte. You know what it takes to work with and around a headless content management system, and if you have worked with Storyblok, that is a plus. You understand the full customer journey and know how frontend, content, integrations, and backend logic come together in a coherent experience.
You are comfortable working across the stack, including Node.js with Fastify, and you are familiar with building and maintaining custom packages and component libraries. You have integrated third-party services and built or worked with application programming interfaces. Familiarity with caching strategies or tools like Redis is a plus and experience with PHP, 3D rendering, or AWS is welcome but not required.
You have led technical workstreams or projects, even if you have not held a formal leadership title. You know how to prioritize technical work, guide architectural decisions, and keep quality high without micromanaging. You are used to taking initiative, owning delivery, and contributing to both code and collaboration.
You are a developer who is just as comfortable writing code as you are leading others. You thrive in a role that is 50% leadership and 50% hands-on coding, and you are ready to support your teammates, share your knowledge, and drive continuous improvement across engineering, quality assurance, and team practices. This role does not include any personnel management responsibilities.
You speak and write English fluently. You like clear direction and structure, but you are also pragmatic and open-minded. You want to be part of a team where feedback is welcome and shared growth is part of the culture.
Why you will love working here
We are a growing product company with a steady business, short decision paths, and a team first culture. We are proudly based in Lomma, and we spend four days a week together at the office not because we must, but because it makes the work better and more fun. Our lunches are cooked by a local chef, our stickers are genuinely cool, and our people are friendly, humble, and passionate about their craft.
You will not find unnecessary hierarchy or endless meetings here. Instead, you will find space to focus, freedom to explore, and support to lead. You will work on a product that has thousands of happy users and leaves a physical impression in the world, literally.
If you are ready to build something fun with people who care, we would love to meet you. Do not wait too long to apply. We review applications on a rolling basis, so send yours in today!
